those of you whom have installed Vintage air systems in a 65-66

I am running hoses to the vents and just curious where you ran the far left drivers vent hose??  Looks like it needs to go over the steering column???  I was also looking at placement of the vent, looks like putting it where they recommend it will make access to the fuses almost impossible.  maybe slide it over to the right kinda behind the e brake lever?

Re: those of you whom have installed Vintage air systems in a 65-66

I ran that hose over the pedal hanger, between the cowl and the pedal assembly.  I don't think you can run it between the pedal hanger and the column.  It will need to stepped on a bit to fit between the cowl and pedals.    My vents are from a 66 Fairlane and the left one interfered with the parking brake...so it got a new custom handle and got moved to the right a bit.

I also designed and build a five-piece ABS plastic glove box that can be assembled in place or removed it necessary.  It is only slightly shallower than the stock box and allows the right side duct to go in without trouble.  And, it will hold more than just one glove as the Vintage Air replacement is designed to do.  I am planning to make up some patterns or even finished parts for this box but probably won't have it done before you need it.  I'll keep you informed if you think you'll be interested.

Sorry things worked out as they did at the bash, Terry.  We really were hoping to visit a bit.

Same as Bullet.  Over the top of the pedal support.  You will have to smash the hose a bit, but it still flows air just fine.
That fuse box thing is a major PITA.  Just make sure your electrical system is in good shape so you don't have to mess with it!

Helpful hint when installing the underdash unit... (and I know you are probably past this point, but maybe it will help someone else)...  On that metal bracket that supports the unit under the dash, right about in the middle of the firewall, if you will weld that 1/4" bolt head to the bracket. it will save you a ton of grief.  If you don't, it is very difficult to get the wobbly bolt through the hole in the firewall, plus you will need a helper to hold a wrench under the dash while you tighten the nut in the engine compartment.  If you weld it, everything gets a lot easier and you won't need a helper.  And you won't have to be a contortionist to get a wrench under the dash.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

Fuse box on the 63 Galaxies is on the opposite side of the headlight switch......... uh ppplease.  LOL

If multiple things can go wrong, the one that will go wrong will be the one that causes the most damage.

Thanks for that tip MS!  I actually used a thin nut to hold the bolt in place.  I'll have to look at the over the pedal support route!  Thanks
