Going off what I remember, and assuming its the same as a '67, There's an aluminum bracket that the pump bolts to, and a steel bracket that bolts to the water pump. There is a long bolt through the aluminum bracket that goes into the front of the LH cylinder head (the pivot bolt), and a short bolt that goes through the steel bracket into the aluminum bracket (the adjusting bolt). You will need to loosen the pivot bolt (just 1/4 to 1/2 turn) and then the adjusting bolt. Basically it mounts and adjusts just like an alternator. I would pry between the aluminum bracket and the timing cover. Do not under any circumstances place a pry bar on the pump body itself. You will easily dent/warp it and it will develop a leak.

Thank you very much

There is a square lug cast into the front of the pump body, facing the inner fender, where you can attach an open end wrench. THAT is where you can attach to get leverage to tighten the belt. Prying anywhere alse is asking for trouble, especially prying anywhere on the pump housing which is just sheetmetal.
