Header Fitment on a 69.

Anyone know what model header will fit into a 69 fastback with a new Ford crate motor.  The motor is a 302/5.0 with GT40 heads, power steering and a T-5 trans.  The last set I tried would not clear the shock tower.  Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Header Fitment on a 69.

The 5.0 is no different  from a 289/302 in external dimensions. So buy headers designed to fit your 69 chassis. As you may have already discovered Fox body 5.0 headers don't fit. If your crate engine heads are GT-40P's the easiest choice is a set of HiPo cast manifolds.
OD transmission may also influence your exhast choice. Long tube headers will usually work with a 5 speed, and Shortie's are easy choices for AOD/4R70W automatics.

If it ain't broke, I haven't modified it Yet
