My 65 GT FB

I have been working on a 66 coupe since 2005.  At the 2013 Bash, I saw what Texas cars look like, and eventually asked MS if he would be available to help me find a better shell for my coupe project.  After some discussion, he told me about this car, that for various reasons, he decided to take a pass on.

Real Deal 1965 GT car.  Original 289, 4 speed, fatory a/c, pony interior car.  One mediocre respray in the 80's.  Still sports the single pot m/c and k/h proportioning valve, and points.  121,000 miles.  About the only non original things on the car are the Holley carb, the radio, and some flowmasters. 

Backstory:  In 1965 a gentleman purchased this car for his wife.  When she passed away around 2009, this car went to their daughter.  As no one in their family was really interested in the car, it became available in April 2014.  MS helped steer it my way.  Oh yeah.... on the same day in 1965, the gentleman also purchased a 65 K code fastback.  He's still got that one.....http://cdn.boardhost.com/emoticons/nerdy.png


My plans:  Get it reliable and drive it, keeping it as original as possible, as long as possible.  This car would be the easiest restoration candidate ever, and while it certainly is not my favorite color combo, I can't bring myself to take it apart.  It's a relic.

I believe I'd like a shot at that K model if it ever comes to market.......
