Re: Thinking of buying a whole car wiring kit

I have this whole mess sorted out!   The flasher module was the source of the blinker power problem.  The module itself was shorting to ground.  Solved.    Basically the rats nest of splices is a previous owner cut and spliced all the plug ins and bulbs to the right side of the dash.  And had them all plugged in wrong.  For example, the high beam light was plugged into the heater control light socket, the turn signal was plugged into the high beam but light was blown, so on and so forth.
They used the cheap 3m type double crimps and red wire.    I wish I could take a picture of this mess.  LOL

I know what goes where, and once I get a working turn signal switch, and some of these splices repaired to my satisfaction, I think I have this part of the mess solved.

Progress!!

Re: Thinking of buying a whole car wiring kit

And they sent me the wrong switch.......lol.  This is getting comical.    Now that I have a 64.5 Mustang switch, I can see the differences.

Re: Thinking of buying a whole car wiring kit

Turn signals!  Brake lights! Finally.   I pulled the switch and fixed the problem on the switch I had.    Sending the new switch back.   Done.   Now I can let this post mercifully die.

Re: Thinking of buying a whole car wiring kit

Congrats Greg. I was about to suggest the guys on the FE Forum, they seem to keep pulling good and NOS parts out of their proverbial ... and at reasonable prices.
