E-lect-trickle partz

Hey Folks, I am in need of a part number, a vendor, or just a couple of the two wire light sockets for my instrument cluster.

The reasoning!

My 67 Mustang came with a factory tach and idiot lights for the alternator and oil pressure. The Painless harness is wired for the ammeter and oil pressure gauges only. I have figured out what changes need to be made to the harness for the cluster and under dash assemble to keep my tach in place and have functional idiot lights. Talked it out with Tech support at Painless and they said it should work. I searched Del city, Terminal Supply, Mouser, and catalogs with my favorite O'Reilly's person with no luck.

Something I have learned is Painless provides 2 instrument panel sub harnesses for the 65 / 66 kits. If someone has some extra parts they don't need, can ya shoot me a PM.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: E-lect-trickle partz

Two wire light sockets for instrument panel blubs "were" available at "Poop Boyz" in the HELP section.(when I worked there)
I replaced a couple of mine and RTV'ed them in place inside the panel.

Here's two sources...same product, "slightly" different prices.

Re: E-lect-trickle partz

I don't know what size bulb you are using or trying to use, here is a plug for a 194 bulb similar to the ones Bob posted https://www.delcity.net/store/Automotive-Bulb-Adapters/p_817876.h_817881 . Or you could go with a PC194 bulb and solder some wires onto the bulb housing if you are after a 194 bulb with a more compact twist lock housing. I could take a peek at my bulbs at work too to see which ones are real small with the twist lock housings. Any automotive store should have those 194 pigtail harnesses, they are used in a ton of pickup truck license plate lights.

Re: E-lect-trickle partz

Thanks for the responses. The bulb is a 1893 from Painless or 1895 in my original harness, both have the same base. This is more along the lines of what I was trying to find, its the socket for the instrument cluster harness from Painless.

I was able to talk with Randy at MidLife Harness. He has some sockets and the connector for the brake distribution block that he will sale me. Should go out in the mail in the next few days.

Re: E-lect-trickle partz

John I have a mostly if not  complete 67 non tach gauge cluster with full harness...you can have it for 25.00 shipped...makes more sense for spare parts too...
