Actuall, I have been thinking about that. Keep us up to speed on the details, Mike.

Why not! I needed to hook one up and the original handle was worn out, plus discs on rear and homemade trans. xmember etc. When I got the Mustang and the 95 Mark my plan was to use as much of the Mark as I could to finish the Mustang. So keeping with that plan it was a no brainer. The Mustang needed an Ebrake and I had the one from the Mark sitting on the shelf. Just getting started on it so will post more if it works out. That's why![]()

Due to my custom, home brew "IN DASH" HVAC system. The stock E-brake may need to be moved a bit. The thought of going to something different occured to me. I don't really like the idea of a center mount due to console interference. So, I'm just exploring possibilites if I can't make the stock unit work out.

I can't wait to read about your progress.

I did not mean for that to sound like criticism. Just wondering why. If you have the parts and you feel it will do the job better (I'm sure it will) then why not?
This is just my personal taste on some things. There are SOME parts of the old car that really are a PITA, but they give it the character to make it what it is, in my mind. I am totally aware this thinking may be unique to me. The stock ebrake gizmo works ok on mine for what I use it for. It could work better, but I kind of like the feel of that ZIIIIPPPP when it gets activated. Like shock towers. Man, it would be so easy if those were gone, but then I cannot use a Shelby export brace, which I have always thought was a pretty unique item that shows the cars were special in some way. Crazy? Probably... But that's just me.
I am glad I put that ESPECIALLY MODIFY moniker up there at the top. It gives everyone an opportunity to remind me there is more than one way to do things! Keep up the good work!
Let me know how that foot ebrake works out. My F-100 needs something on it.

I didn't take it as criticism, but wasn't sure why you were questioning me. Like I say I needed one, the old one wouldn't work without some mods to it so why not put something newer on it?
I like the looks of the 66 body and would never change it(scoops, ground effects, etc.) and wouldn't change the dash or interior too much, but obviously for me everything else is fair game.![]()

I like this idea also. I bought an E brake pedal for a 69 Mustang to install in my 67. But that is as far as I got. I'm not sure how the mounting will interfere with the kick panel. I would not mind a pull handle between the seats if I could still fit a console.

The center console e-brake is on my to do list. Less stuff under the dash plus I'm a big guy and I can bang my knee on the existing pull-out ebrake. Never occured to me to install the pedal e-brake. If you're driving a stick that means you'd have 4 pedals down there. Not sure I'd like the look.
I've seen a couple of mods to the center console one. Doesn't seem too hard. Gives the illusion of drifting and turning 180s.
