sniper efi just arrived , needs info about wiring

Hello all , just arrived santa in this hot italian summer ! a box with efi is in my hands ... but reading notes there is something leave me doubts .   the instruction for wiring the distributor is not enough clear about "pertronix ignitor pick up magnetic "  . Is very clear althought about msd , mallory or other CD (capacity discharge ) module ignition , not allowed or wired differently .  Does someone knows if i can use it (pertronix 1) , or need to return to point and condenser ? ( this sounds little crazy ... one step forward two step back )  Thanks !

Always good to have Santa drop off new toys!!

Holley owns MSD and Mallory so it stands to reason they will be clear in the instructions. I would reach out to Holley's Tech support though email if possible for a good answer.

Re: sniper efi just arrived , needs info about wiring

I have a Pertronix I that I installed a long time ago.  My recollection is that they are a straight out replacement for your points and condenser.  The only thing I do not remember is the clearance between the pickup and the distributor cam.  OH...you also need 12 volts to drive it, not the reduced voltage you get from the ignition switch.  You need to run a 12v line from the key to the Pertronix.

Better yet.  Contact Pertronix.  Their tech line should be able to help.
