Over the last 20 years I have probably parted out at least half a dozen cars various years and models but all Ford. I save as much as I can and can go many years before I find a use for something. One such part is the 3/8" fine thread T nuts used to attach the drum brake backing plate to the rear end housing or the front spindle. Turns out these nuts are a perfect fit for the T slots in my lathe and mill. So after holding on to them for 15-20 years today I found a use for them. Problem is I am a few short I just need to find a few of the long ones from the front spindles If I remember correctly there are only 2 per car.

I may have some in my 21 year collection. Give me the length you need and I'll look this evening.

If Josh is out, I have some. The best thing to keep when parting out cars is those good ol’ Ford bolts.

REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
