Decided to take the 66 out for a quick trip to the store.
Fired-it-up and grumbled through the neighborhood.
When I reach the stop sign I noticed.... I had ZERO OIL PRESSURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I eased back home and run a couple tests (thanx BB!). Put a jumper on the oil pressure sending unit and observed the gauge needle sweeping from 0 to H (a good sign!) That indicated a bad sending unit.
Quick trip to Advance and 14 bux later.......I'm back on the road again.
(never did get to complete my trip to the store!

Glad it wasn't anything serious ... or expensive to solve!
I recently had a similar experience. Evidenly while doing some work by the oil pressure senser, I had knocked off the senser wire. Scary, but a quick repair!

I had that happen once. Quite a shocker!
Mine turned out to be a little piece of teflon tape across the tiny little oil hole in the sender. Wiped it off, replaced the same sender and it was back to normal.
Now I always apply teflon tape so it is not able to get inside the hole. I leave the first thread uncovered just for safety.
