Ah...My youth. I grew up is SoCal and spent a lot of Saturday nights at Lions, San Fernando, Santa Ana, and other venues. I've seen Ivo many times both with the 4-engine (primarily used for entertainment.) and his single engined Buick. Boy, was I lucky.
I got to see all of those early cars and drivers. One favorite was the Bean Bandits. A group of Hispanics who ran 6-cylinder gassers - Both Chevy and GMC - The GMC was a better motor.

Bean Bandits were/are a club that ran and, according to a friend of mine, still run a B-Ville streamliner.
My grandson's great granddad was in the BBs and there is a photo of him with the crew at B-Ville a number of years ago.
So...my grandson has this stuff in his blood, it showed when he (16) was helping me put the Heap engine back together and in the car.

REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
