Bleeding brakes

66 Mustang coupe, cobra disc on front and gt disc on rear. I ran all new brake lines on the car. It has one of those distribution blocks with an adjustable rear. I was wondering what is the best way to fill and bleed the system? Any tip or tricks?

If this forum can't fix it, it isn't broke.

Re: Bleeding brakes

Gravity bleed to start. Fill the system, open the right rear bleeder, have a beer or two until the brake fluid starts coming out. Repeat on each wheel as necessary.

Re: Bleeding brakes

Bench bleed master cylinder first.
Adjust valve to mid range
Bleed as normal, whether you use gravity bleed, forced pressure, vacuum, someone's foot pushing the pedal, or a bleeder bottle.

I had some of those adjustable valves once that just would not let fluid to the rear wheels for some reason.  They had to be replaced.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

Re: Bleeding brakes

ABSOLUTELY bench bleed the MC before starting anything. If you do not, you may never get the air out of the system, never have a good pedal. Don't ask me how I learned this.... I will never get back in my life the time I wasted.
