Hello All
I'm not sure what year these transmissions are.
I swapped 3 speed manual transmissions.
The one just installed is apparently ideal for under dash Air Conditioner.
The gear shifter is farther away from the dash and has a tighter 3 gear pattern.
The transmission I removed has a wider 3 gear pattern, shifter travels closer to the dash and has taller gears.
The problem is the new tail shaft housing seal is leaking at the metal insert and getting worse.
Stupid thing doesn't even look like the 2012 seal. I told AutoZone it was wrong.
The seal on the tail shaft housing from the previous transmission has stayed good since 2012.
These transmissions use different shifters.
These shifter mounts are different on the side of the housing.
Question is;
And I know this is a long shot.
Does anyone know if I can just swap the tail shaft housings?
It seems the answer would be no. But I thought I'd ask you opinion...
And another thing.
How do I get my post reply email notifications back?
Edit; I know the tail shaft bolt to the ttrsnsmission is the same.
Thank you!

Going to need a lot more information to help. Can you offer any pics?
6? V8? Can you downshift transmission in the vehicle into 1st gear while moving?

I've had a hard time getting pics to work on here in the past.
289. The bell housing fits the trsnsmissions.
Yes, both are synchronized.
