Or should I ask
What color did you paint your driveshaft
Just had my driveshaft balanced with new U-Joints and ready to intall it.
The rust color just won't do!

My vote would be alternating black and white circumfular ( is that a word?) stripes with adiminishing pitch towards the rear.
Something akin to that vertigo spiral in Hichcocks movie of the same name.
Garanteed to be a U Tube hit.

This car is built for function. That black rustoleum paint has been on that rear end for more than 20 years now, and there have been quite a few floor jacks worn out going under this car !!!! I guess now that I have the lift I might touch that up. That is the good thing about using spray cans. Easy to touch up. I guarantee the rustoleum has lasted just as long as alot of way more expensive stuff on other cars. But, I am in Texas where it is not a rust problem. But that rear has about 43,000 miles on it now over 22 years.

Shoulda got an aluminum driveshaft, then you polish it to a mirror finish. But even as I say that mine is aluminum and not polished, will do that when I have ALL other things on the to-do list done.

You guys are funny with the barberpole suggestion! So, I thought I would entertain you with your suggestion.
At the end of the day, I was happy with the Aluminum color. Thanks for the pix MS. I had that in my mind all along. Definetly met my expectations. Going to install it today.
