Hello,
Excuse me if it's been addresed but my forum search was 0. Where is the best place to mount the metal bracket included with MS clutch cable conversion kit? The instructions were vague or I missed something.
Thanks Lele

If you go to the main page and click on ( Ballbearing clutch pedal shaft conversion) there's ah pick of what it should look like

You have to position the aluminum firewall brace so it lines up exactly with the quadrant on the clutch pedal. You must go under the dash with a straightedge, and hold the straightedge against the side of the quadrant so it intersects the firewall. I find it easiest to use the straightedge on both sides of the quadrant so a mark between the two marks is the exact center. The hole to be drilled will be nearly at the top, right below the cowl floor. Mark the firewall at that point where the cable coming off the quadrant would intersect. Drill or punch a small hole from under the dash. Then go in the engine compartment and enlarge the hole. Align the brace with that hole, drill the two vertical holes and bolt it on.
There is some variation in the way the pedal supports are bolted to the firewall, as in they can be positioned slightly different from car to car. Also, the welder can position the quadrant a little off if not careful. If I told you to mount it 2" away from the inner fender, there is a chance it might not align perfectly with the quadrant, so it is best to mark it with a straightedge so you KNOW it is going in the right spot.
