Lt Gilligan, why do you need portholes on your 65?

JC Whitney used to be the go-to for that kind of nonsense, wonder if they are still around.
I went to their store in Chicago once on my way home from Oshkosh, real scary neighborhood.

NOS 681.... I refuse to discuss your plan to generate forum discussion.
Rudi... JC Whitney was purchased by an online retailer a decade ago. The retail store you refer to at the triangle corner of State Street ("That Great Street" per Frank Sinatra) and Archer Ave is currently in a gentrified location. Unless you have your hand in Bill Gates pocket, you can't afford to be there. Now, a mile west is pretty much the way you remember it....

To be honest, I don't know what port holes in the fender you could be asking about? Unless this question is all in fun.

Very interesting article Tim, reading it jogs my memory of the Warshawsky name and remembering their ads in magazines.
Along with the bling they a lot of useful products such as mandrel bent tubing in various angles and radii. Still have some leftover bends from the headers I made for a Corvair powered scratch built fibreglass Boony-bug.
IIRC they also had a lot of new V8-60 products such as 3 carb manifold set ups and aluminum heads.

I was looking up historical topics and noticed Steve’s comment that no one has asked the question.😁
That was probably the fastest response from Steve EVER.
I would only add port holes if they were functional and for a purpose…not happening on this beauty.

They are great when mounting remote-controlled machine guns! Keeps the paint from getting burned........simple.
