Traveling next Saturday to check out a 68

Gonna consider overlooking the reflector on quarter panel and check out a 68 coupe black on black looks really nice.
I have never had any other vintage Mustang other than my 66 so I may have plenty of questions. one thing I am interested in is those Aluminum tail light inserts and those stain less panels in the interior they look good in black interior... if I knew how to post pictures I would. I gotta work everyday till Saturday or I would go sooner.

Re: Need tech help concerning pictures on the forum
Go to https://postimages.org/login

Log in to your account if you have one - otherwise, enter your email address and click the "Sign Up" button to create an account

Click the "My Images" link that is just to the left of your email address in the upper right corner

Create a "gallery" (folder) to hold the photos you are going to upload.  (to stay organized)

You are ready to upload your photo now:
1)  Select your gallery for the photo
2)  Select your image size - for posting 800x600 is a good size
3)  Leave "No expiration" for the length of time you want the photo on the web
4)  Now click the "Choose images" button to select the photos to be uploaded from your computer

Now that you have your photos in PostImages, you can include them in a post on the forum:
When you are typing a post on the forum, you will find the button for including a photo 3 places to the right of the smiley face button.  When you click the photo button, it will ask for the full URL of the image you want to post.  Here's how you get that URL:

1)  Log in to your https://postimages.org account
2)  Click the "my images" button in the upper right of the screen
3)  Click on the gallery that has your desired photo
4)  Point at the photo with your mouse and you will see the "share" icon appear above the photo to the left of the "trash can" icon.
5)  Click the "share" icon.
6)  The second item in the list is the "Direct Link".  Click the "copy button" located on the far right of this line.  This will put the URL that you need on your clipboard.
7)  Back on the forum, just paste the URL on you clipboard in the Images box URL, then click OK.

Note:  This may sound complicated, but trust me it is not.  This post is long only because I tried to list all of the relevant steps.

Edit:  Oh, I didn't mention this but if you are not using the "Tabs" feature of you browser now is when you want to start doing this.  With browser tabs, you can have PostImages open in one Tab and the Forum open in another Tab.  Then you just click back in forth between the two Tabs as you are writing your Forum Post.  This is how you quickly include multiple photos in a single Post.

Re: Traveling next Saturday to check out a 68

Not saying you can’t put them on a 68 but only the 67 came with the ribbed aluminum tail light panel and aluminum dash/door trim. The 68 dash and floor console had either camera case or wood overlays.

Re: Traveling next Saturday to check out a 68

It looks good Billy. It's an early 68, made before July as it still has the flush mounted rear quarter reflectors. What are the particulars - engine, trans, any mods? I do see it has A/C too, and a turn signal hood.
Did you make an offer, or?
( I do have to admit a bit of bias - as it it a 68...)

Being an aluminum steering wheel, and not steel, trying to straighten it back may cause some cracking issues, especially if the bend is across the grain of the metal. That one spoke is bent 90 degrees and will be hard to straighten out perfectly without cracking. It will of course depend on what alloy and heat treat of the aluminum it is made of. There might also be an issue with work hardening that could also cause cracking, or at least a loss of strength. I would think about getting another one if you like it that much.

Regardless, it is a really nice looking ride, and I hope you enjoy it for a long time. (now you can be called BILLY68 )

Re: Traveling next Saturday to check out a 68

I would buy a new steering wheel and adapter. Yes it be pricy, but safety is paramount.

I have this eBay wheel.  I like it.  Good size that's not too big or too small covering the gauges.

Traveled to top of Tennessee and drove car and looked it over and even put it on a lift and decided it was not the car I wanted.  THE SERCH CONTINUES.
