finally finished the t5 swap trans mount

started my t5 swap back during late winter/early spring. went from a t10 to t5. during my building of my falcon I had to replace the floor boards. I had an idea of welding in tubing in the front frame rails, three on each side. built some sub frame connectors out of 2 square tubing to bolt in. at the rear, a 1/4" plate that bolts to the bolt for hole for the front of the leaf spring hole. I told this story to set up for what happened currently.
since the shifter for the t5 sets in the way of the rear trans. mount, which I had cut out of the car something had to be fabed up, enter the bolts for the front of the sub frame connectors. I used 2" angle iron bolted to the three bolts on each side. a piece of 3" channel that sits on the 2" angle iron and bolted to it. I did have to build the trans mount for the 3" channel.
any way it is completed drives well shifts well. I finished it on Thursday night just before the cruise of Friday night before the car show Saturday on labor day weekend. thanks to all who gave me input

Re: finally finished the t5 swap trans mount

Really sounds like good work!  I've got to do something similar with my Fairlane. I think some of the mount area was cut due to it being a drag car at one time. Would of liked to see what you did. I got some frame rail extensions to install then figure it out from there.

If this forum can't fix it, it isn't broke.
