Putting the front bumper back on, never had the luxury of removing the old one. The main mounts that come off the frame I think I'm good. There is one on each corner or side that seems to mount to the fender, I have know idea what the mount looks like. I'd apricate a pic if someone could give me one. I probably have the mount part in my pile of junk, just don't know what to look for.

Glad to see that you are getting a little "Q" time on the cars, Walt. Hope Brenda and you and the family are doing okay. Tell her I said HI.

Thanks Bob, hope all is well with you and Jean. I haven't done much since dad passed 5 years ago. Trying to get back at it. On another note, those inner fender splash pans on the Fairlane I got from you. There are 4 pieces to those. I was still missing the 1 top driver side. Well they remake those now and I was able to buy that 1 pieces. Working on it too. Thanks again for the well wishes.

The 66 bracket is similar but quite different than those 68’s. Just go to a Mustang parts vendor site to see them. They use a rubber pad between them and the fender and a fender type tinnerman nut and bolt through the fender.

Thanks MS, I did some digging and found some pics at NPD. Actually found the RH side in my junk box but not the left. Went ahead and ordered both. I'll figure something for the rubber pad. Thanks again!
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
