Hello All
I have a '65 FB and I'm having problems getting my fold down panels to line up with the side panels without scratching. I was wondering if you had any suggestions?
Thank you!

Are rhe interior side panels original, or aftermarket? I have a 67, and when I replaced I the interior panels, they didn't fit the same. I think 65,67 are similar, but different. The mounting area on the new panels was thick, so I ground them to make them a little thinner. The metal reinforcement plates, were made out of plastic on the aftermarket part. I switched them out, helped keep then straight, not flex or warp. Hope this helped.

If you figure that out let me know! I leave my seat down most of the time and when I do set it up it is real slow. My panels have been painted and I keep a can of that paint in my shop

Thanks for the suggestions! All panels are original though not original to my car with fresh paint. I will take apart and check the thickness and how it mounts at the latch. Maybe I can get a little more space.
Thanks

In my case I was able to tighten one of the four screws at the cover plate for the latch. This pulled the panel in a little to help clear the fold down panel.
Thanks
