Mustang is painted now to start reassembly

It's been a while but I'm ready to start reassembly. I'm sure I will have lots of questions.

Re: Mustang is painted now to start reassembly

Beautiful color! Mine was ivy green originally with a black interior. When mine was a shell, I added truck liner to the inside of the floor pans, under the roof, inside the doors etc. then peel and stick. Please continue to post photos along the way.
Happy Rebuilding, it's a lot of fun!

Re: Mustang is painted now to start reassembly

Very beautiful, what brand BC/CC sealer and what color.  I think we should add a paint and auto body part of this forum. Or make a thread of what paint etc is on your car.

Re: Mustang is painted now to start reassembly

NICE!!! Like the color, looks a lot like mine. (LOL) I picked my color to be a little different (seems to be a lot of red and blue) Also I found green way under after doing a lot of scraping and grinding. Looks very good. As far as a lot of questions, there is no place better to get a lot of good answers.

If this forum can't fix it, it isn't broke.

Re: Mustang is painted now to start reassembly

I like the idea of a paint and body section. Color reminds me of British Racing  Green.

Ver-ver nice!
That shade of green reminds me of my 1st car color.  54 Ford club coupe. Put in a big ole' 312 and had 3-on-the-tree.

So what color sealer and  base coat did you use? Also what brand of clear did you use?

Re: Mustang is painted now to start reassembly

Hard to find a better color for an early Mustang than Ivy or Highland green.

Re: Mustang is painted now to start reassembly

It looks great.  I'm bodyworking my 65 and hope to paint it soon.  I gave a lot of consideration to Highlnad Green and Ivy Green.  However, I'm going to use single stage urethane and want to stay away from metallics.  Still looking for a very dark non-metallic green.

Re: Mustang is painted now to start reassembly

I stripped the car and did most of the metal work, but I have to confess I had someone paint the car for me.
