I have a 66 mustang that currently has drum brakes all around. I am planning to upgrade to disk brakes in the future, but my current single bowl master cylinder is bad. Can I use a dual bowl master cylinder with the drum brakes on my car, or are there any potential problems with a dual bowl system running with drum brakes. Thanks for any help you can give.

Sure you can! Starting in 67/68 FoMoCo switched to dual bowl masters for safety reasons.
Local auto parts store should have a dual bowl for 67 that will work just fine fer ya.

Reading between the lines, the way I read that question was: Can I run a DISC BRAKE dual piston master cylinder on my drum brakes until I upgrade to front discs, so I don't have to buy two master cylinders?
Yes, you can, but it will not work as well as a tandem drum/drum master cyl like sal was talking about. The disc brake mc does not have a residual pressure valve in it like the drum mc does. Worst case, the pedal stroke might be a tad longer.
Note: bowl closest to firewall goes to front brakes. Use 67-70 Mustang powet disc mc with 1.0" bore.

Thank you MS for your indirect I'll make sure to get the right master cylinder for later on.
