Swapped out the points inside my distributor housing for some Duraspark guts. Did the GM HEI and Ford TFI (square) coil and she runs better. Much better. Starts far more easily and runs strong. Blows the tires off with no effort from a roll. Pulls hard, shift, pulls hard in second.
I have some sort of issue with the trans VB or modulator, not getting 3rd gear in the built C4. Need to dig into the modulator, see which one it is and which direction to go on it.
Regarding the carb, my vintage Holley 780vs seems to have this combo running way rich. Going to fiddle with the jets/power valve and squirter to see if I can make her happy.
And reinstall the HEI with a legit heat sink.
Reconnect the 1 1/8" sway bar with BMW spherical links to eliminate suspension bind.
And pull the hood, remove most of the dings, affix the hood scoop, repaint the underside white and the top side flat black. Reinstall.
Install the fender to rocker hardware that just arrived.
Get the interior installed.
Get the dash lights to work.
wire power to the add on gauges lights.
Install the bumper and valence lights, maybe even a grille.
Install the snazzy LeCarra style steering wheel.
Finish the horn relay BulletBob mod.
Install relays in the headlight circuit.
Get a smaller battery.
Get a decent tach.
Figure out the door latches and locks.
Put the 3.00:1 gears in my nodular trac loc center section.
Convert RPM's 2.50:1 center section back to 28 splines.
Return the hoard of items "borrowed" from RPM
Upgrade to a 16:1 steering box and GT350 pitman and idler arms
Add an accessory fuse box in the passenger kick panel.
Oh and a hundred other things.
