It is sweet, BB2, and it is Cool, Lt. So everyone who is planning to attend the Bash needs to consider joining in the fun. I'm the guy that stirred the pot to get SPCC back on the agenda. At the time I was reminded that I was one of those who failed to support the event through participation....True, very true. Butt (TS&T), I realize the error of my ways and will now participate. I realized that without SPCC the Bash had lost something. It was and is a great social event and one of the high points of the year for many of us. Like we keep saying, get there even if you have to drive the Kia. It's about the people. And it is. But without SPCC it has lost much of the entertainment value. The competitive urge, the cheering and yelling for your favorite. The name calling, the side bets, the fist fights....ah well, no fist fights.....really.
So I hope you will all sign up and participate. It's a lot of fun and needs to return as a Bash mainstay event. Whether you practice like Glen and Terry for eleven months of the year with a custom tuned and perfectly balanced ratchet, or just do like most of us and hope to not hurt anyone with with flying tools, you will have FUN!! And that's what the Bash is all about.
So I plan to participate even though I don't plan to practice, nor do I plan to win.
But I'll be in there slingin' a ratchet and giving it my best.....And I hope you all will too. And not just the guys. There's no reason in the world why ladies can't do this. All it takes is a little competitive spirit and quick wrist. Who knows, if we get enough interest we might have to have a ladies division next year.
I brow-beat MS into bringing SPCC back so please don't let me down. Sign up, join in, have fun.
