I plan to replace my rear leaf springs on my 65 Mustang and want to maintain the lower than stock stance that I currently have, which is about 13.5” from wheel centerline to the fender lip.
I’m looking at the Detroit Speed leaf spring that is a 4.5 leaf type, normal rear eye height, and has a 1.5” drop from the normal spring.
I have 15x7’s Torq-Thrust w/225/60-15 T/A radials.
Does anyone if this spring will get me close to my current ride height of about 13.5”?
Or is there a different spring I should consider?
Sounds like they know everything about leaf springs. I checked out their site and the springs seem a bit pricey to me. But everything has went up a lot with inflation too. Id probably give them a call and talk to them about what you have and what you want. Im sure they'll get you close. Steve69
Yes, prices have increased, Eaton-Detriot spring is about the same price (~$500/pair), but they seem to only offer a stock ride height. I'd rather go with a "name" brand, and pay extra for a 'better' product (hopefully!).
I do plan to call Detriot Speed.
Thank you.
