Must be some really bad business folks at Hooligan’s.  Or, really smart.  Let’s have some fun and then stick it to the bank.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

I saw this a while back and for the life of me it just doesn’t make sense.   The business ran fine all those years and now they’re that far in debt?   Maybe they relied on income and were always playing catch with bills and after his passing there was no more income or not enough to pay the bills.

What I learned in college studying business, and I've seen born out in the real world, is that business success is more often than not temporary.  In part due to the following:

1.) Family businesses usually fail in the 3rd generation if the company doesn't go public or move from family control to a board of directors.

2.) Everyone who ever though there was a limitless supply of money found out the hard way they were wrong.

3.) The cash flow game only works so long as their is cash flow, and what you rob off Peter is in excess to what you need to pay Paul.

4.) Running a whole lot of overhead trying to live like a rock star by expensing your lifestyle/hobbies through the business is a quick way to go broke.

My guess Hoonigan's problems are directly related to one or more of those.
