Last weekend I went to the local pick and pull and found a 90's mustang and removed the clutch pedal safety switch. I spent the rest of that day trying to figure out how to mount it so that it would pivot on the mounting bolt and still have enough travel to activate the switch.
After thinking about it all week I came up with a different approach and it worked out perfectly. I even have adjustment built into it.
Nice work, but I'm glad my 69 does not have any of the late model "safety" items.
If it fails I'll be able to simple unplugged and jump the wires. One wire will have a female end and the other a male end making it easy to bypass if it fails. I figured it's cheap insurance if the wife is driving it. Lol
