I've posted before a picture of the taillights from this kit and I thought it was more like a panel overlay. I never saw the other weld in parts. The kit includes new peices to install new tail lights and the lenses of your choice. My problem is I'd still want chrome trim. The post I originally shared was of the white car with the black tailight panel and I didn't like it because of no gas cap and no taillight trim. The second picture from someone on facbook makes the new taillights look better being able to use the stock gas cap I think. But I still would prefer to have trim around the taillights.
I do not like the clear lenses installed on the last car. But the taillight shape looks nice I think. What are your opinions?
From my perspective, on a 65/66 with standard stock sheetmetal, the proportion and placement is off.
Take a look at where the gap is located between the center and outboard lens. It aligns with the trunk gap on 67/68. This caught my attention immediately.
If the quarter panels were a tad wider or trunk narrowe, it would work for me.

I agree, gotta have the chrome trim.
He shouldn't be hard to find, driving that "piss yellow Chevy".......
I guess to each his own. This is what's happening to these cars now: they are becoming hot rods. Its not enough to have a car that is fast and handles and stops. Now the body has to be personalized too. Not to my taste. I think these cars looked darn near perfect from the factory. That's kind of the point. I just couldn't see spending the amount of time required to make such a modification when I could spend that time on other parts of the build and be that much closer to driving it.
