I have been wanting to do this for a long time and hopfully I will be able to include pics with this post. My car is a 66 coupe that I purchased from a college student that had bought it without first telling his wife. She gave him the "it goes or I go" ultimatume. He must have been head over heels in love! It was originally a 6 cyjinder 3 speed. The body and paint are as they were when I bought it. Not perfect by any means but it looks good. Everything that has been done to it (other than rebuilding the rear end) I did myself on a limited budget so it's taken a while. I started with a complete rebuild if the suspension and steering with new V8 parts 620 springs, sway bar and poly bushing. Later on I did the Shelby drop. The rear got 4 1/2 leaf springs and 3:55 gears. Next I dropped in a 289 with Edelbrock cam' lifters, Performer manifold and 600 carb. Next came the interior. I bought a complete kit from Virginia Classic and installed it myself. I forgot to mention that when I bought the car it had no interior at all. I drove it home with a towel on the springs. I bout a new gauge bezel and took a demel tool to it so as to install a set of white faced gauges. Other mods include a T-5 with a MS cable clutch, MS pedal bearing kit. MS power brake pin kit and MS front disc brakes, aluminum rad, stereo, relay controlled headlights and home made export braced (thanks James W). When I started I knew nothing about Mustangs and everything I needed to know I got right here on FYI Ford Thanks ya'll!
