I have owned the 67 fastback since I was 15 and now I am ... just say I have had it for a while.  When I was in higschool, I converted the original 6 cylinder to a V8-289. Shortly after the 289 came a ford nine inch to replace the short lived  6 cylinder rear end.  That was years ago when parts came cheap.   Several years ago, once I got out of college, I completely tore down the fastback and restored it. Replaced the cowl, patched the floors, upgraded to front disc brakes, replaced the 3 speed with a 4 speed toploader, body,paint,etc..

A few years ago, I was in Houston and picked up a 65 convertible. Here is a picture of the current condition.  A month ago I was finally able to paint the car after two years off and on replacing the necessary metal (floor, cowl, etc.)

As always, a special thanks to MS and the forum for a wealth of knowledge.

It will get the 289 from the fastback.  Leaning towards the Dart block 363 for the fastback

I love it when a plan comes together!
