So yesterday I had enough looking at the fender apron situation and decided to dig in.  I started to grind down the bolts and washers that the previous owner welded into the gaps of where he'd cut into the frame and body.  I'm trying to get it to the point where I can start to add plate steel onto the frame to close up the gaps.
I decided I would attempt to preserve the rear fender apron and try not to remove it if I could help it.  So far it looks like I'll be able to save what's there and make it look good.
Once I get the fender aprons squared away then it'll be prepping the engine bay by cleaning and then painting.  I also need to replace the sheet metal with a patch under where the battery goes.  Its rotted out pretty good.
Slowly but surely!  Myrtle Beach or BUST! 2020!

You hafta start somewhere, eh?  I’ll still never be a yooper! Hope to see you next year, even if it’s not painted...one color🤙🏼  You’d be surprised how many people like incomplete projects on the road and being driven. Obviously, I live it.   Keep us posted on updates.
