1966 Convertible Rain Tray mod.

Making some good progress on Anna's Convertible.
Original rain rain tray thingee just dumps the runoff water onto the Rocker Panel are and hopes to not cause too much damage. I plan on routing this water runoff through a rubber pipe system to a dump port inside the wheel well. I did this for the Fastback from the vent area to a port in the wheel well. My plan is to take this water through a rubber system that encircle the tray and then decreases the size to fit over the tray and into a 10AN fitting that dumps out of the wheel well.

Re: 1966 Convertible Rain Tray mod.

Will you have access to fittings if it clogs up?

I would suggest a removable screen to keep bugs out of hose and maintenance.

Never make a drain get smaller as it travels downward. It either needs to get less restrictive or be at least the exact same size with no reductions in size anywhere.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.
