Way back when I put in the over the shoulder set belt kit to make our girl a little safer. The kits sold didn't really have a good place to put them in the Fastback and you really had to go pretty high to keep from interfering with the fiberglass molded areas and to find some meaty metal to support the belt. The biggest issue Anna and I had was the belt would cut across our necks and not lower down on the shoulder. Very uncomfortable to have the belt sitting there rubbing for hours at a time. I finally found something that would drop the belt lower and keep the whole thing looking very professional looking. It is called a Seat Belt Shoulder Harness Pillar Post 8" Drop Down Extension Bracket, Black DPE. I found it on Ebay and ordered one to make sure it would work. Worked very well. One thing you have to cut open one end of the belt to feed the belt through this loop. My neighbor sewed it back up for me on his professional sewing machine using the proper heavy thread. I forgot to take a before picture, but this is the two brackets side by side and the installed picture.

You can see the passenger side goes way up to the top of the door frame. For short people this means the belt cuts across your neck. The Drivers side sits right at the shoulder.

I've tried the Copy Paste method. I keep getting that I can't post something about x amount of words. I read the latest thread on using the Upload button. It worked for me several weeks ago. I've tried Firefox and another one. Chrome finally worked for two pictures.

That’s a great solution Ed. It sure beats buying new seat belts.
