The boys are not too bright getting weld spatter and grinding sparks all over the machine at the left side of the screen.
I worked at a place that made precambered I beams 5 foot tall, 50 foot long with 3/4 inch webs and 1 1/2 inch flanges . They used submerged arc method , one pass on both sides that gave a much nicer looking weld than that broom stick the boys used.

You KNOW you're a MAN when you can weld overhead "bareback" with one of those!
Submerged arc (like Rudi sez) is a lot better/less messy method....if its available.
I've done a LOT of carbon gouge work with 1000 amps butt knot welding.
Cool video!......Its OK for those guys to wear their hat backward ....NOT anybody over the age of4 years old though!
