    1969 351w into 67 mustang power steering hoses

    I'm moving along on the engine swap.The two washers on drivers side stud and upper drivers side bolt, seem's
    like I will have the clearance I need not to hit the shock tower with the master cylinder. Thank's to MS and every body on this site. Looking
    at my power steering hoses they run over the control arm, 289 setup, the end of the high pressure hose doesn't
    look like it will bolt onto the power steering pump,(the way it's bent) because of the wider stock exhaust manifolds. 
    I'm thinking I will have to go with the 69 power steering hoses. and the big block hose bracket that fits to the shock tower.This will put the hoses below the control arm area. Am I on the right track,trying to get this sorted out before the engine goes in.THANKS SO FAR.   mustang stu

    When I did my swap in the 70, 16 years ago, I unknowingly put a 69 pump to a 70 PS system. Later I found out that the 70 pump is a one year only pump and uses a different hose end. After going through many hose combinations the pressure hose went straight down with the return line and then along the oil pan and under the lower control arm through a bracket (or tie wraps) that attaches close to the control arm attach point. I had a little extra hose that was a pain to deal with because of the wrong hose combination that I still ended up with. You know what I mean when you see Mustangs with the hose hanging down, till I figured out a way to tie it up.
