I figured since we let Chris post pix of his 67 Bowtie truck, I could maybe get away with this.
A friend who wants to relive part of his miss-spent childhood asked me to help him find a particular motorcycle. He's looking for a 1975 Triumph Trident T160.
If you know anyone that has an interest in selling such an animal please PM the details to me.
Thanks...and remember...always be safe by not breathing or touching ANYTHING.

If you find two, LMK. I don't think they're getting cheaper. I used to think 5K was too much .... should'a bought ten.
All your friends seem to have great taste BB

Thanks for that site, Bob. I'll pass that along.
Barry: Except for their choice of friends ...LOL.
Hey...the Heap is running on the Moats with a very slightly TunerPro tweaked A9M calibration. Tomorrow I plan to pull a couple of runs and get some good data so I can get serious. WML.
Hugs to Leonie and to Cindy, Bob. Sure do miss seeing all you folks.

BB - for those of us not in the know - what is the "Heap"? A Jeep abomination or something else?

Ron, that's his term of endearment for Jean's car. A heap'a .. stuff, it ain't.
Bob, I guess the first thing you did was turn off all the things you used resistors to get the ECU to cope with not having anymore. And a base idle reset to allow for the changes you made to the throttle body screw, when you had the vacuum problem. How do'ya like the innovate wideband?
Good luck with the first datalog.

I like the Innovate just fine Barry, and Decipha already had a function scale for it in TunerPro which made using the analog 0-5v output a snap. I disabled EGR, which was removed anyway, and plugged the analog from the Innovate into Pin 27 so the AFR can be logged along with everything else. The idle at present is pretty close except for cold start which appears to be a fuel issue. I'm using the stock cal for practice then I'll dial in WOT fuel and tweak idle fuel. Then I'll do an Idle reset. Once I make the "Stock" cal work okay I'll move to Decipha's A9L2 with bigger injectors and more timing to accommodate the heads/cam. It is actually pretty close at this altitude (6000 +) at WOT. But I think it's running out of fuel from 4500 feet down. On the trip to Waco it went like stink passing trucks down in New Mexico but wanted to knock above 4200 rpm or so. Base timing was right at 10 degrees so I'm pretty sure it had just used all the 19lb injectors had to offer. That's what the AFR gauge will tell me for sure.
I'll keep you posted.

Sorry BB2, you "Old Skool" guys with a dribble-pot on top of the "motor" can disregard. Barry knows what I mean.

Not for me, Chris. My cousin had a nice 67 Step Bowtie and I thought that was just about the nicest truck going. I have a friend who has two 69 Camaros and I even owned a couple of Chevys over the years. I certainly meant no offense, just my sick sense of humor.

Sounds like you're tickin' along BB. Further than me. Butt ... by the time you get to the 4R70W swap, I should be able to help with the nvbase scaler and shift points.
I'll nominate you as our future resident TunerPro expert .... you already know more than I.

Oh, I'm sure there's someone else who will stake that claim..

Only thing I know Barry, is that for me the learning curve is nearly a straight, vertical line. That's why I'm messing with the "Stock" calibration first. I figure I'll get the WOT fueling dialed at this elevation and the 19lb injectors. Then mess with the lean idle and maybe add some timing...the MBT charts says I should add six or seven degrees across the board for the AFR heads, but I'll start with three. If all this doesn't blow it up I'll go to the A9L2 bin and start over with the new injectors. Something to do.....
Josh....be nice.

The pinging was probably cos of the MBT setting and your heads ... butt , you already know this I think.
The A9L2 uses a simplified timing table to only the Sealevel Spark Table.
If you can get it done with the stock tune, the A9L2 should be a walk in the park.
Good Luck

The pinging on hard throttle on the way to Waco was more like a 3lb hammer on the side of the block. If it wasn't detonation I really don't know what it could have been but it did it a couple of times and I quit pushing it. The timing was/is stock so with the AFR heads it should not be inclined to knock unless it's going lean, So once I dial in the 19lb injectors to take care of Lambse/Lambda missmatch at this elevation I'll drive it to Grand Junction (4300 ft) and see what the AFR looks like there. I suspect it will want to run out of gas. Then I'll swap injectors and start over. Then timing, then, then, then..............

I think he found and bought a rough one with a box of Original parts for $2700 down in 6Sal6 country.
Don't know exactly what site he found it on but thanks Bob for the link, I know he went there.
