fantastic technique for texturing paint with step by step instructions

Pre painting prep:

1.  Have someone in your household (not you or your spouse) wreck your truck √
2.  Even though truck was totaled by insurance decide to fix it because 90% of the damage was cosmetic √
3.  Decide that because the truck now has a salvaged title there is no value added by a good paint job √
4.  Want to protect the new panels from rust so decide to scuff and shoot them with flat black √

Actual technique:
1.  Use poor decision making skills and determine that two 5 gallon buckets are adequate to hold a fender while painting. √
2.  Prime and paint fender √
3.  start to walk away from fender as a gust of wind comes up so that it falls off of the buckets onto the grass √

As you can see the texture is amazing!!  I especially like the dandelion heads they add so much character.

one quart of solvent, a bunch of rags and about 1 hour later we had all the new paint stripped and repainted it.  I set it up on something far more stable for the second attempt

I think you were on your way to a camo paint job.   ...with real grass and weeds.  Nice.

1968 T-code Coupe with a 302.  Nice car, no show stopper for sure, but I like it.
