351w

What is suggested carbs for  basic 351w to full blown strokers?

Just want to learn a bit more about Windsor and its requirements.

Re: 351w

A basic carb would be a 600-650.  A stroked engine or one that's higher winding starts to benefit from a 750.  Typically you are going to have worse low speed fuel metering with a bigger carb due to the drop in vacuum signal through the larger bores.

A carb's like any other part of an engine.  You match it to the package, so really you need to know the engine's intended operating RPM, size, and what you want (max power vs. low speed torque, etc.).

Re: 351w

I say 650-750 CFM.......double pumper style on the "hotter" stuff.

Re: 351w

I have the Edelbrock 1406 which is 600 cfm on my 351W. Good carb, no problems except it doesn't like autocross. Had stalling issues in hard turns to the left. Otherwise it's a great carb for me.
