Two spindles and two hubs will fit the USPS large box. I've shipped and received about 10 sets. I removed the 2 hubs from the box in the pic.

Ehhhhhh...Sorry fellas if I offended any of y'all. (I did delete the post but the others' won't go away). I guess its NOT Mustang related (don't think that was a Ford getting washed!).
It was just a scene from one of my favorite movies....a humorous part really! It was an old movie ....from the 60's when things were a lot more "censored" compared to today's trash. (It may have been rated for Mature audiences's I'm not sure.)
There was a lot of heavy drama in it though....but this was the closest it came to "skin"!
I've watched it several times, as well as my family, and the most this scene rated was just an 'eye-roll' because of how the chain-gang fellows/Newman and Kennedy reacted.
It was just an attempt at a little humor. My idea of 'funny' doesn't always align(no pun!) with what others find funny and for this I'm sorry.
The last thing I want to do is offend anyone and as I said.........If this upset ANYONE I am sorry.
I'll try to keep my comments more "Ford related" in the future.

Double box it and wrap threads up in cardboard or heater hose to protect threads.

yes I need to check the grease in the steering box, great idea, doesn't it require a special type? he is wanting to keep the original spindles on the car so thanks for all the ideas that have been thrown out. lastly I found on line a company call tom'sclassics, they have a conversion kit that will fit the 67 mustang, the item number 352222564968, I will be in contact with them on Monday. $400.00 plus shipping,

The grease in the box is almost certainly bad at this point. If you're going to do anything you'd be best to flush all the old stuff out and refill it with new grease. You will have to remove the box to do this though. Grease gets hard and separates into light and heavy petrochemicals over time. This eliminates is effectiveness as grease, because it no longer lubricates; the parts just move around in the heavy part of the grease and eventually start to wear.
Grease wise Ford used a moly based grease. A moly or lithium based chassis grease will work just fine.
Also, if this bursts your bubble I'm sorry, but if there's already play in the box it's worn out and adding grease isn't going to do anything. It may tighten up a bit initially, but as the grease moves around it will go back to how it is now.

check with the company that was selling the disc brake kit, here is what I found out, ford rotor, caliper and I guess the pads are from some year of an S10 four wheel drive. also talked to chockostang steering box rebuild $181.00 plus freight, which I was surprised it was that cheap. any thoughts?

I'm always going to prefer brake kits that used commonly available parts. It makes servicing much, much easier.
On the steering box, that sounds very reasonable. I can't speak from personal experience, but I know guys on here that have them rave about them.
