After years of frustration with gauges that just didn't read like they should, I took BB's advice and installed three adjustable instrument voltage regulators for my water temp, oil pressure and fuel quantity. Now my water temp moves like it should (finally more than six needle widths above C) and my normal oil pressure at cruise it in the mid range. I would have adjusted the fuel quantity, but I still have a full tank of gas, so I couldn't remove and calibrate the sender unit. I'll just have to drive it down until I can pull the pickup/sender and then set it for Bob's recommended two gallons as the "E" reading. Thanks BB!

I have done the same but only have one adjustable for everything at the moment, i will be putting in the others soon. I also used his idea with putting in a volt guage.
