Re: Taking my car to its first show on Sunday

just one, prepare to have fun!
I dont fuss alot with my car, i generally wipe it down when I arrive, I dont spend hours spit shining the valve stem covers and armoralling the treads on the tires, heck you'll prolly even see some bug in the radiator!  If you dont like the way my car looks WALK AWAY!!
I too built my car to drive and drive I do!  just have fun meeting new people GOOD LUCK!!

Re: Taking my car to its first show on Sunday

In Texas, some portable SHADE like a 10x10 canopy from Wal mart is a must.  Comfortable folding chair, comfortable walking shoes, cooler with ice and drinks.

As for the car, I am with terry on that one.  You DROVE it to the show.  Every rock chip on the front valance is a trophy you can carry with you wherever you go.

And if it is participant vote for the awards, just remember... Its not how great your car is, its how many friends you dragged along !!!   After one of the bashes in Texas, we all drove to the local Buick club's monthly cruise.  Funny thing, most of the awards went to Mustangs that night... And I got best of show!  I know it wasn't because the car made that great an impression.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

Re: Taking my car to its first show on Sunday

We are attending a show in Saline on Sat. Rick.  The weather should be great both days. Ditto on the folding chair and cold drinks.
Best of luck.
