4 wheeldisc

I had 4 disc installed on my 1965 289 automatic. There is a lot of pedal travel like feels soft but car stops well anddoes not go to the floor, however I would like a higher pedal what can I do or what is causing so much travel of pedal??

Re: 4 wheeldisc

I would start by pulling the master off the booster and verifying the that booster pushrod is properly adjusted so that it makes contact just after you start to apply the pedal.  You may just be experiencing a short pushrod that allows a lot of travel before making contact.  The factory pushrods are adjustable.

Re: 4 wheeldisc

Will need more info.
Specifically, what rear calipers?  Do they have integral parking brake or a drum brake inside the rotor?  Are they those Eldorado calipers like Summit sells?

What booster and master cylinder? What bore size master cylinder?
