Tie rod sleeves vs tie rod adjusting sleeves?

So I have a 1963 Ranchero 6 cylinder steering. Why is the recomdation to do tie rod sleeves with a Granada spindle swap. In stead of using a Granada tie rod and a tie rod adjusting sleve that is the 1/2" Falcon one end and the Granada tie rod thread on the other end. Thanks Ken

Re: Tie rod sleeves vs tie rod adjusting sleeves?

Much easier to just use a MustangSteve tie rod adapter that makes the stock tie rod fit the Granada spindle.

Just beware you will have severe bumpsteer unless you convert to all v8 steering components. The geometry is quite different on the granada spindles vs the Falcon six cylinder spindles.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.
