Does anyone have a recommendation for brand seat foam to go with. This for my 1968 with standard seats, I plan to just do the drivers side and may only do the lower section and not the back. My passenger side still feels great,.
I have read a lot of folks not Happy with the TMI stuff, a lot stating extremely firm. I believe I used TMI on my 66 20 years ago and it wasn't bad but who knows where they are getting stuff now.
Classic Industries list it as well but not sure of the Brand.

I chose to use spray adhesive and 1/2” thick foam rubber purchased from a fabric store. You can glue it to the old stuff and use 40 grit on an angle grinder to shape it. This gives you the opportunity to add extra thickness to the bolsters as well.
I like to put a piece of rubber-backed carpet between the seat area’s foam and metal springs. That alone makes a huge difference in firmness.

I'm happy with my TMI seats and the foam for the rear seat.

I've been very happy withi TMI. Used their new foam in our 89 Fox seats...may have added a layer of 1/2" just to tighten everything up...can't recall.

I just used TMI foam on my seat rebuild. Much better than the foam I used last time.

From my research, and what I ended up buying, was American Cushion Industries foam from NPD.
