Nope, I've always been Jeff of Livermore,CA. A lurker. I used to have a S code 67 fastback, I do miss that car.
Its 97 degrees, I am not working on the mustang again, too hot. Hits the 90s by 8am. On the other hand... I don't have to worry about rust forming on the car ![]()

Do I use the 65's fuse box or buy something different?
What is your electrical skill set?
If none, I would suggest a kit like Painless.
I slightly modified a complete stock unaltered wire harness…I play with wires for fun.😁
I deleted only a couple of things like the ABS wiring, low oil sensor, and couple of other items.
The links I shared have a bunch of valuable information to learn about the components of the factory EFI.
I read and researched a lot before making the commitment to perform the swap.
I labeled sensors, wires, and got myself familiar with what they do and where it is located on the engine.
AND TOOK MANY PICTURES FOR FUTURE REFERENCE and made notes as needed.
Bullet Bob is really good with factory EFI too.
BTW, my ‘65 was purchased in Livermore area too.

I ran an 'auxillary' fuse block a few years back....
It comes right off the battery(in the trunk) and under the carpet/rocker panel to under the dash on the PASS SIDE!
I left plenty of slack in the wire so I could plug&play&troubleshoot withOUT standing on my head to get to the block!
When I'm finished I can lay it on top of the heater box outta sight. (can use velcro to hold it in place)
I bought the block at West Marine. A little pricey butt... a nice piece with a clear cover.
Jus say'in
