    I have one of those - it was a barn lantern from my granddad's farm.  I used to use it in Houston when they turned off the power because of the hurricanes.

    I also have a corded trouble light.  I put one of those compact flourescent bulbs in it and they work really well.  The cage on the light body still gets tangled in every little dangdiddlyang thing it's near though.

    I have a couple of those little LED lights that you strap on your forehead.  Mine aren't rechargeable but they do last for quite a while and it's easy to put light where you need it.

    Oh ya, those rechargeable headlights are daddy oh! I've got two, and use them constantly.

    You might also try home depot.  They carry CAT tools.
