Junction City, KS, Oct 9 .... Another Mini-Bash planned

The Mustang Steve Central US division just finalized plans for a Mini-Bash on October 8 - 10 in Junction City, Kansas....Yes, I said Kansas.
The plan is to spend the better part of Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Kansas Auto Racing Museum in Chapman, Kansas.  If we can find a cruise night not too far away on Friday or Saturday evening we'll probably crash that too.
Same Mini-Bash rules apply:  Guys only.  Either drive a 25+ year old car or, at least, trailer one to cruise around in.
Reservations can be make at the Comfort Inn, Junction City.  120 North East Street, Junction City, Kansas.  Ph: (785) 762-4200

So far we have three "for sures", one "most likely", and a couple of "sure hope they make it"s.
If this falls within your comfort "driving" zone we sure hope you can join us.  I've driven by the sign for this museum many times but never stopped so it seemed like a good destination for a Mini-Bash.

Any of you lurkers out there that have been thinking maybe, one day, of coming to a MS Bash, this would be a great way to test the water and we would love to meet you.

Thank you MS for encouraging this.

BB1

Way to go, Bullet.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

Re: Junction City, KS, Oct 9 .... Another Mini-Bash planned

Bullet has informed me the Mini has been push to the next weekend. Arrive Friday Oct, 8 and depart Sunday Oct 10. Should be fun and I have my room reserved, BB2's too. Gonna be a fun one.

The Bash Thrash has again begun.

Thanks Gary....I knew that.  Old age strikes again.  I'll fix it now.

Trying to see if there might be interest from the I-35 group…

Less than 100 miles from my house, think i will have to come and meet some of you.

Coupe will probably not be ready though. Ambition lacking on that part.

Looking forward to meeting you, Alan.  I bet we can find a vacant 25+ year old seat so you can cruise with us.

Canyon Lake to Junction City is only 43 miles farther than my 677...and not even close to BB2's drive.
See ya there, MS.

You bet, Ed.  Now that you have that pot dripping properly you need a road test.

Re: Junction City, KS, Oct 9 .... Another Mini-Bash planned

Bullet Bob plus I don't have any mountain roads to go up and force a retune of the carb.  I just need to get approval from the commander in charge at home and book a room.

Once I get mine back together and road test, I'll book a room in KS...

Re: Junction City, KS, Oct 9 .... Another Mini-Bash planned

Wow, you guessing everybody's working on their cars as evidenced by no posts today.

Heck, I'll jump in. It's good to see a plan coming together, thanks for ramrodding this Bullet Bob. I gotta study my geography, I was shocked that Lt Dan is only 2/3rds the distance from Kansas as me.

It sounds like THE PLACE TO BE!

Bash thrash begins.  I have this high speed vibe to work on.

Re: Junction City, KS, Oct 9 .... Another Mini-Bash planned

No bash thrash for me...other than maybe checking the AC juice.  My thrash started a year and a half ago and only ended about three weeks ago.  Butt (TS&T), as of right now the heap is running/driving great.
I'm tickled to see the interest in this Mini.  I like the idea of smallish, out of the way places with something different to see.  Mostly, though, I like the idea of getting together with folks I truly enjoy after a road trip in a car I love to drive.
Line 'em up and head 'em out.  I'll see ya'll in JC on 10/8.

Friday night and Saturday night, right?   Has anyone called to be sure the museum will be open?
