I'm replacing the trunk seal on my '66 fastback. I have a new, soft, seal for it, but just found out that the fastback uses a pyramid-shaped seal, not the usual c-shaped one. Does it really matter, or will the c one fit and seal well?

Mine has always had the c shaped seal

When I installed mine it is the C shaped style. I did not take notice of what the original looked like when I had removed it years earlier.
