Yeah, if more people don't start posting on this forum, I really cannot see the reason for it to exist.

Did Santa bring you some coal in your stocking or something? I'll bet a lot of us do more lurking than posting, but we still really enjoy coming to the site for some lively and informative discussions and garage racing.
MS - are you really considering ending the FYIFORD board? Say it isn't so!
Rudi has a point - and also a lot of us live in climates not conducive to year round outside work or driving of our Mustangs - and we don't have the luxury of nice big heated shops to work in - like some here who will remain nameless but nevertheless do live in more sunny climes.....so our input on the board is fluid in relation to the weather. (currently 17 degrees and snow here) When the weather picks up, so will the postings, I'll wager.

I am on this site at least twice a day, and occasionally feel that I have something productive to add, but most times I am just enjoying the banter back and forth. When my son's were younger they would frequently jump on the site and we would discuss what was the topic of the day. I always appreciated that I never had to worry about what was being said or how it was said for my young boys to read (Unlike some forums). I think this site means a lot more to some people than just what cam to run or not run (Ha Ha, I'm a lumpy cam guy). I have never been able to make it to a bash because how it conflicts with High School Marching Band season. I have one child out of college, one in college, and two still in HS, but hopefully I will get the opportunity to make it to a bash soon. I live in Kentucky and have always though that the KY Horse Park would make a great place for a bash.
Wishing everyone a great and happy New Year,
Rick (KarDad)

It's rare to see a classic anything out from Dec to April back home, and there just not much any old geezer would want to go outside to do. So our new hobby the last 4 yrs is to drag the camper and winter in warmer climates
Now what really rips us up is when it's very sunny & 81 deg and no mustang to romp and run around in.

IMO what we have here is a LOT better than most other forums because when there is a post its a new, legit issue or talking point instead of someone asking the same question for the 400th time because they are too lazy to use the search feature. I don't mind helping people, but when I've answered the same question for the 30th time and posted the information in a sticky that they've refused to read I just come to the conclusion that I've got better things to do with my time. I read most every new post here and try to post only when I have something worthwhile to offer (doesn't always stop me , I know, I know).

Based on the number of new threads today, I think some peoples are skeert.

This forum isn’t bloated with garbage like most of the Facebook groups. Also seems to be one of the more reliable forums, especially compared to 7173mustangs.com that attracts Russian hackers.
The only bad thing about this forum is that it does not seem to grow. It is kind of like a forum version of the Cheers bar. I’m okay with that.

Would that make 6Sally6 "Norman"?

You were just using the URL for the main ibb site instead of the URL for the photo you wanted to show. I changed it above.

Nice. You'll love having it. I bought mine in 2012 I think. I should have bought it in 2000. Best $1,500 I ever spent in my shop. Is yours a Rotary? Based on the blue looks like it might be. That's what I have as well.

Yes it is a 9000 lb Rotary. Nephew took it out of his shop and put in all new lifts. Nothing wrong with it, just for insurance reasons.
Got everything in today, just need to run the wiring to it and i will be set.
I posted the pic URL because that was all it would let me do for some reason. Would not load from Imgg. Tried 2 different browsers, neither one would work. Thanks for fixing it Rufus.

Here's how you can get the image URL: (this is how I did it)
When you're looking at the photo on Imgg, right click on the photo and select "Open image in new tab".
Then the URL being used in the new tab is the direct URL to your photo.
Copy this URL to your clipboard and paste it in your Post here on the forum.

Might be the same model I have. I can't remember what mine's rated for weight wise. I initially bought 2 as a package deal, and then sold one off. They were different models. The one I sold had the posts angled outward to make opening doors while a vehicle was on the lift easier, but IIRC I sold that one because it was rated at less weight and I needed something I could put my truck on even if it had some weight in the bed, etc.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
