Anybody used the USA-740 stereo I think I am going to go with it Summit Racing sells it as well as other venders and is $350.00 has Bluetooth and is 300 watts. I will be able to use my Sirus XM on it. I won't have to cut my dash probably could sell the radio out of my car for more than I will have in it....it works and looks new. My car is supposed to only have 69,000 miles and looked it when I got it.... slowly all the original stuff is coming off and being upgraded.

Ihave done a ton of modifications to my car, cutting and welding stuff all over the place but one I would not do is is cut my dash for a damn radio.
That’s just me I guess because I hardly use it.

Cutting the dash is a bummer in my opinion and I think a radio that fits the original dash opening just looks way better.
I also mounted my antenna inside the top of the rear seat too.

I cut the dash on my 65 and installed a DIN1 radio. Checkout the “Crutchfield” website, you can get a lot for $350. Just saying.

Custom Auto Sound doesn't have a good name for longevity or quality.

Right on Barry.
Retrosound seems to be the go to radio for classics.

When I got my old Mustang somebody had pulled "a BILLY WALTON" on the dash and 'gouged-out' the stock radio and put a cassette player in it !
I put a home-made radio delete plate on it years ago.

That's what I fitted to mine. Great sound! It has Bluetooth and a USB for my own tunes.
I like mine alot and I didn't have to cut the dash.

I had a Custom Autosound in my '67. It didn't fit the factory bezel, which I had to modify by enlarging the opening. It was basically better than nothing. I could play tapes and listen to FM stations. Compared to the cheapest DIN sized head unit on the market its probably a total POS.
The issue you have with most head units is trying to use the head unit as an amp. There's just not enough space to effectively cool an amp built into the head unit. This limits its power, meaning you'll have the volume cranked a lot, and that leads to overheating and failure.
If you want real modern car audio you have to use real modern car audio components. That's going to mean a DIN sized head unit. If you don't want to cut the dash just locate it elsewhere. Then at least one 4 channel amp and four decent 3 way speakers.
